Sam is an Associate in the Litigation section of Coats Rose. While pursuing his law degree from Tulane Law School, Sam served on the Moot Court team and was a finalist in the Tulane Moot Court Challenge. He was also honored as the Team Coach for the National Pace Moot Court Competition in New York. Sam has lectured and authored Good Funds Gone Bad - Legal and Practical Perspectives Regarding Funds Control in the Modern Surety Industry for the Annual Southern Surety and Fidelity Claims Conference. He is a contributing editor to the Defense Research Institute’s publication The Business Suit. Practice Emphasis Sam has extensive experience in commercial and construction litigation and has handled litigation in both state and federal courts. He has represented sureties, financial service and lending institutions, governmental entities, contractors, homebuilders, corporations and individuals in various corporate disputes. Prior to joining Coats Rose, Sam concentrated his work in mergers & acquisitions and corporate and partnership taxation. |
