Experience:
Stuart Pergament is an experienced corporate attorney who represents public and private business clients in a wide range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances and commercial matters. Stuart has had a special transactional focus with companies in the cement, telecommunications products and services and media industries. He is fully versed on the information technology industry, having represented IT companies and users of IT services in acquisitions, equity investments, strategic sourcing and outsourcing, and software development and implementation engagements. Stuart’s selection for the BTI Consulting Law Firm Client Service All-Star Team reflects his emphasis on effectively and efficiently meeting client needs. He has also been selected for The Legal 500 Intellectual Property, Media, Technology and Telecoms (Volume II, 2007).
Since entering corporate practice nearly 30 years ago, Pergament has been associated with two large national law firms and served as vice president and general counsel of a major publishing and media company. He initially practiced with Mayer Brown LLP in 1982-1983, and rejoined the firm as a partner in 1986 and became a counsel in 2008.

Represented a provider of electrical and optical communication systems in its acquisition of the long distance telecommunications subsidiary of a telecom services provider.
Represented a leading North American manufacturer of cement in its acquisitions and divestitures of related businesses.
Represented a global accounting and consulting firm in a business process outsourcing transaction covering the worldwide relocation program for the employees of a major investment bank.
Represented a voice and data communications service provider in connection with the divestiture of its voice and data businesses in the US.
Represented a global telecommunications product provider in divesting multiple business units, and in structuring equity investment, vendor financing and outsourcing transactions for specialized telecommunications companies.
Represented a leading computer system consulting company in business process/information technology outsourcing transactions, and in other information technology transactions involving healthcare, telecommunications and additional industries.
