As a commercial real estate professional, Steve is experienced in all aspects of real estate brokerage, management and development. During his fifteen (15) year career Mr. Klein has had extensive experience in the development and asset management of office, retail and multi-family properties.
Mr. Klein is currently with Klein & Heuchan, Inc. one of the Tampa Bay area's largest commercial real estate companies. His day-to-day responsibilities include the marketing and management of real estate assets with a value in excess of $50,000,000.00.
From 1987 - 1994, both CRI, INC. and its sister company Capital Management Strategies, Inc. employed Mr. Klein. During this time CRI, Inc was the largest owner of apartments in the United States. As Assistant Vice President for Multi-Family Housing, Mr. Klein was responsible for the acquisition, asset management, and disposition of a 13,000 unit portfolio of government assisted properties. The majority of this portfolio was subsided under a variety of financing and rental assistance programs including Section 236, Section 202, Section 221(d)(3), Section 221(d)(4), Section 8 Mod Rehab and Section 8 LMSA. Mr. Klein worked closely with state and local housing agencies in the administration of this $450,000,000.00 portfolio.
Following his employment at Capital Management Strategies, Inc., Mr. Klein became the Director of Asset Management for Community Preservation & Development Corporation ("CPDC"). At CPDC, Mr. Klein was responsible for the acquisition of 650 units of Multifamily Housing under the Low Income Housing Preservation & Resident Homeownership Act ("LIHPRHA") program. Mr. Klein was also involved in the development and asset management of tax credit eligible low-income housing properties throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. |
