Steven Bangert has served as chairman of the board and CEO of CoBiz since 1994. Prior to leading the acquisition of Equitable Bankshares which would become CoBiz Inc. he served as president and a director of Western Capital holdings formerly the holding company of River Valley Bank located in McAllen Texas. A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Bangert serves as trustee of the Emily Griffith Center Foundation and is chairman of the Endowment Committee. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Biz Bash a fundraising event that raised over $300 000 in three years for various children’s charities in the Denver area. He serves on the board of directors of The Western Stock Show Association is actively involved with the Junior Livestock Auction Committee and is a trustee of the National Western Scholarship Trust. |
