Steven R. Miller, PhD, is responsible for Catalyst's product development program, which includes all aspects of chemistry and manufacturing controls, quality systems, contract operations, and development planning. Dr. Miller brings to Catalyst 24 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Prior to joining Catalyst, he spent 15 years with various divisions of Watson Laboratories, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Watson Pharmaceuticals, most recently as Executive Director of Research and Development Operations. Dr. Miller was Vice President of Research and Product Development at Royce Laboratories, which was subsequently acquired by Watson Laboratories. Previously, he was Group Leader and Senior Scientist at Dade Behring (formerly Baxter Diagnostics, Inc.). He was a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Maryland, where he received his bachelor of science degree in chemistry, and a research assistant at the University of Miami, where he received his doctorate in chemistry. Dr. Miller has served as an analytical chemist at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and his work has been published in numerous technical and professional journals.
