Steven P. Sorenson is senior vice president, Protection Distribution, for the Allstate Insurance Company and a member of Allstate's senior management team. As senior vice president, Sorenson works to ensure the optimal success of Allstate's distribution channels and is responsible for Allstate's multi-distribution platform which includes exclusive agencies, independent agencies, and the broker-dealer channel.
Since joining Allstate in 2000, Sorenson has held key leadership roles within Allstate's product and distribution organizations. He served as a product vice president with product management responsibilities for three of the company's fourteen regional operations. In 2002 he was given responsibility for co-leading the entire field operation. Sorenson was promoted into his current role in February of 2007.
Prior to joining Allstate, Sorenson was a general manager at Progressive Insurance Company with responsibility for several Midwestern states. Prior to that, he was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company working in their Chicago, Houston and London offices.
A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Sorenson holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago and an A.B. degree in Economics from Harvard College. |
