Steven M. Cappaert joined Meredith in June 2003 as the company's Corporate Controller.
Before assuming his position at Meredith, Cappaert spent two years as Senior Vice President and Controller for United Stationers Inc. of Des Plaines, IL, the nation's largest wholesale distributor of business products. Cappaert also served for six years as Senior Manager in the Chicago office of Ernst & Young and four years as a Senior Internal Auditor for Fortune Brands, Inc. of Lincolnshire, IL.
Cappaert earned a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Chicago in 1989. Additionally, he has a Master's of Accountancy degree, with distinction, and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Commerce, summa cum laude, from DePaul University in Chicago. He is the President of the DePaul University Accounting Alumni Association. Cappaert and his wife, Barbara, have two children. |
