Mr. Hemmert is experienced in representing litigants in both state and federal court proceedings. Mr. Hemmert also has extensive experience representing financial institutions in arbitration before the National Association of Securities Dealers and the New York Stock Exchange.
Mr. Hemmert has represented both corporations and investors in corporate transactions, including public and private equity and debt offerings, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and securities matters.
Mr. Hemmert is a former criminal prosecutor for Miami-Dade County, where he obtained numerous convictions before judges and juries in the County and Circuit courts.
Mr. Hemmert was an Infantry officer in the United States Army Reserve, where he served as a commander of a special operations support company, an executive officer of a basic training company and an infantry platoon leader.
