Steven (Steve) F. Herbert was named Chief Executive Officer of NetBank, Inc. on October 5, 2006. Previously, Herbert had served as the company's Chief Finance Executive for four years.
Herbert has varied and extensive experience in the accounting and financial services industry. He served as the Chief Finance Executive of Resource Bancshares Mortgage Group, Inc. for seven years. Prior to joining RBMG, he managed the 20-person audit practice of Price Waterhouse, LLP in Columbia, South Carolina. Earlier, he worked as Assistant Vice President, Manager of Bank Accounting of South Carolina National Bank.
Herbert is an active member of his community, serving a number of non-profit organizations including Boys & Girls Clubs and Habitat for Humanity. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina. |
