Steven Eisenberg is vice president and general counsel of Edison Mission Group (EMG), responsible for all EMG legal activities, including coordination and supervision of the company’s legal compliance and corporate legal matters.
Eisenberg began with EMG in 1999 and has worked on some of the most highly visible EMG projects and financings in the U.S. He handled legal aspects of the Homer City Station acquisition in Pennsylvania, including the initial financing, bond financing and subsequent sale-leaseback arrangements. He has supported the business development and asset management efforts for the Sunrise project, which was part of the Edison International (EIX) solution to the California power crisis. Eisenberg managed the sale agreements for EMG’s ownership in the Auburndale (Florida), Brooklyn Navy Yard, Eco Electrica (Puerto Rico), Harbor (California) assets, Hopewell (Virginia), James River (Virginia), Nevada Sun Peak and Saguaro (Nevada), and he was actively involved in the sale of EMG’s international portfolio.
Prior to joining EMG, Eisenberg was a partner at Morgan, Lewis and Bockius. He also previously served as vice president and general counsel for Diamond Energy Inc., an affiliate of Mitsubishi Corporation, from 1992 to 1997. Prior to his service at Diamond, he was an associate in the Business and Finance Department at Jones Day Reavis & Pogue.
Eisenberg received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. |
