Steven founded Munchkin in 1991 and is currently Chairman and CEO. Always on a quest to rid the world of boring and mundane products, Steven is the strategic vision behind Munchkin’s innovation. In addition to his management duties, Steven brainstorms with the Product Development team and is the primary inventor of over 40 patents. Prior to starting Munchkin, Steven was a partner at Idanta Partners, a leading venture capital firm. His previous experience includes associate positions in corporate finance at Bear Stearns and Smith Barney Ventures. Steven received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BS in Economics from UC Berkeley. Steven has been happily married to his wife, Laura, for 19 years. They have a daughter (Beau) and son (Steven W.), 3 cats (Russian Blue and two Sphynxs) and a French Bulldog. Steven is an avid art collector and has filled Munchkin’s office with an eclectic mix of ceramics, sculpture and paintings. Steven plays tennis twice a week and coaches AYSO boy’s soccer, Minor League boys basketball and Little League Minor boys baseball teams. |
