Steven Rathgaber is president of the Metavante Payment Network Solutions division and chief operating officer of NYCE Payments Network, LLC, a Metavante company. He is also executive vice president of Metavante Corporation. In this role Rathgaber leads the company's focus in expanding the reach of Metavante Payment Network Solutions.Rathgaber joined Metavante Corporation in July 2004 with the company's acquisition of NYCE. For seven years prior, Rathgaber served as NYCE executive vice president and chief operating officer.Rathgaber joined NYCE in 1991, and has managed almost every functional area during his tenure. He played a key role in building and developing NYCE's technology infrastructure and has participated in acquisitions at NYCE. Before joining NYCE, Rathgaber spent two years at Veritas Venture Inc., where he was a principal in a start-up company focused on artificial intelligence system development. He also spent eight years at Automatic Data Processing (ADP) in a variety of management positions, building and growing the Electronic Financial Services Division that provided PIN-debit services including ATM driving, authorization processing, network and gateway processing to financial institutions nationally. From 1977 until 1981, Rathgaber held several positions at Citibank and its Citibank Travelers Check Division. Prior to joining Citibank, he served as an accountant for Estee Lauder, Inc. Rathgaber is also chairman of the board of directors of Everlink Services, Inc., a joint venture between NYCE and Celero Solutions, Inc., a Canadian transaction processing company. Everlink provides ATM and point-of-sale (POS) transaction switching, ATM terminal driving, and gateway services to the Canadian market. He is also currently a board member of the Electronic Funds Transfer Association (EFTA) and formerly was a member of the board of directors of SafeCheck LLC.Rathgaber holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from St. John's University and has pursued a master's degree at Pace University in financial management. |
