As President, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors since January 2005, Tirado is responsible for overseeing the global vision, strategic direction and executive management team at Silicon Image, and is chartered with steering the Company's growth and focus on innovation. Since joining Silicon Image in 1999, he has served in several executive capacities, including chief operating officer, storage division president, and executive vice president of marketing and business development. Prior to Silicon Image, Tirado held senior executive sales and marketing positions at Sun Microsystems for thirteen years, including vice president of marketing and business development for the NC systems group. Prior to his experience at Sun Microsystems, Tirado was president of Tirado Sorrentino Associates, a consulting firm, held the position of Marketing Administration Manager at Qualogy, a mass storage disk drive and controller company and was a public program administrator and policy analyst within various government agencies. Tirado received a master's degree in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley, a masters of social work degree in community organization management and planning from Boston University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. |
