Steven Qualls has 22 years of experience in lasers, optics, infrared systems and component manufacturing. He is responsible for all manufacturing operations at L-3 ALST. Before joining L-3 ALST, Mr. Qualls served as President and CEO of Laser Photonics, Inc., a publicly held company manufacturing lasers for medical and scientific applications. He also served as the Senior Manager of Production and Fabrication Processes at DRS Optronics in Melbourne, Florida.
Mr. Qualls has experience and training in Six Sigma techniques from Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and DRS Optronics, as well as experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and high rate production processes for military programs. He holds a BS in Physics from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, and an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business in Winter Park, Florida, graduating at the top of his class. |
