Steve Obert enters his first season as the Mighty Ducks Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He oversees all sales, marketing, community relations, and integration efforts for the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim and the NHL club.
A native of Dallas, Texas, Obert spent the last three and-a-half years with USA Gymnastics as director of marketing. While with Team USA, he worked heavily with sponsors, corporate partners and implemented all marketing strategies for the organization, including overseeing all ticket sales activities and event day presentation. Before joining USA Gymnastics, Obert was the director of event management and new business development for the Massachusetts Sports Partnership from February, 2000 through January, 2002.
Obert was also the regional sales director for Amalie Oil Company (1998-2000) and spent five years in sales and promotions with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (1993-98). He graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in May of 1992.
Steve and his wife Barbara reside in Tustin Ranch, California. They have one son, Joseph. |
