Steve Musallam joined Magnum in February of 2007 as vice president of marketing, with responsibility for ICs, platforms and software. He brings over fifteen years experience in the consumer electronics industry, with a primary focus on audio/video markets. Musallam joins Magnum from Mobilygen, where as vice president of product marketing he was responsible for all product and corporate marketing functions. While there, he defined and launched the MG1264, the world’s first low-power single-chip H.264 codec. Prior to Mobilygen he launched a second generation DV codec and the world’s first hardware MPEG-4 ASP codec capable of 30 fps video and stereo AAC audio while at DIVIO, Inc. Musallam has also worked on the EchoStar programs while at Siemens Semiconductor, and on MPEG2 chips and reference systems at C-Cube. Musallam holds an undergraduate degree in electronics from California Polytechnic State University, San Louis Obispo. |
