Steve McCann joined Longs as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in 2000. He was named to his current position as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in March of 2005 and was Treasurer from 2000 to 2006. A native of Illinois, Mr. McCann earned a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Southern Illinois University. He began his career with Touche Ross and Company, a national CPA firm and in 1981 joined Peabody Coal Company. In 1983, he joined The May Department Stores and was promoted in 1994 to Vice President Controller of the Robinson-May Department Store division based in North Hollywood, California. Immediately prior to joining Longs Drug Stores, he was Senior Vice President of Finance with Service Merchandise Corporation, a specialty retailer based in Brentwood, Tennessee. |
