Responsible for setting the strategic direction of Openfirst using his vast experience and expertise in data management, software development and support, and general business information systems.
Steve became president in August 2007, building on his years of experience with Quad/Graphics, Openfirst's parent company.
In addition to being President of Openfirst, Steve continues to serve as Quad/Graphics' Vice President of Information Systems & Infrastructure. In this role, he is responsible for:
Guiding the strategic direction of Quad/Graphics' Information Systems division, which maintains all the company's business computing systems and develops "Smartools" software applications that help employees and clients improve job efficiency, speed and cost-effectiveness;
Directing the company's QuadData Solutions division, which supports clients' marketing objectives and strategies by improving the quality of their data;
Managing QuadSystems, a subsidiary that delivers advanced production management solutions to publishers and catalogers who are looking for ways to improve operating and cost efficiencies; and
Overseeing Quad/Graphics' Facilities division, which includes construction, maintenance and security of physical plants and facilities nationwide.
Steve joined Quad/Graphics' Information Systems department in 1994 after having worked for nearly 10 years as a Systems Integration Manager at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Promoted into management in 1996, he became Director of Software Development in 1996 and accepted additional responsibility as Senior Manager of a four-person Information Systems Management Team in 1997. Steve was promoted to Quad/Graphics' Vice President of Information Systems in 1998, assumed responsibility for its QuadData Solutions and QuadSystems division in 2005, and added the company's plants and facilities, nationwide, to his list of responsibilities in 2006, becoming Vice President of Information Systems & Infrastructure.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Mr. Jaeger holds a bachelor's degree in operations management. |
