Brand brings more than 20 years of software industry experience to his role as Convoq’s CEO. Prior to becoming CEO, Brand was responsible for managing Convoq’s Business Development activities - including its key relationship with Salesforce.com as well as Convoq’s product management and product development functions. Prior to Convoq, Brand was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mitel Network's e-smith acquisition, which develops and markets open source all-in-one server software to small and medium businesses. Prior to e-smith, Brand was General Manager at IBM's Lotus Development subsidiary, where he headed up Lotus' early initiatives in the Software as a Service arena and was responsible for leading its pioneering efforts to offer subscription based collaborative solutions to teams, most notably launching Lotus' highly regarded QuickPlace software.
Before joining Lotus, Brand was regional manager of major account sales for Unix vendor SCO, managed software vendor relations for NEC Technologies, and served in various product management and market development roles at Apollo Computer. Brand holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
