Steve a second-generation banker was raised in Denison Texas. He began his banking career as a drive-in teller with Texas Commerce Bank in Lubbock while attending college at Texas Tech University. He later transferred to Texas A&M University and graduated in 1980 with a B.B.A. in Finance. Steve developed his credit analysis and collection skills while working in the credit department of the Southland Corporation more commonly known as 7-11 for three years. He then joined Texas National Bank now Compass Bank where he received numerous top monthly producer awards. More recently Steve served as Executive Vice President and Senior Lender with 1st Independent National Bank after serving four years as E.V.P. with First State Bank of Texas formerly Addison National Bank. He is actively involved with his church Parkway Hills Baptist devoting his time to serve as a Deacon and an usher. He is a member of the Presbyterian Hospital of Plano Phorum and a past Board member of the Plano YMCA where he and his family were nominated for family of the year in 1996 and 2001. Steve is a member of Gleneagles Country Club previous Treasurer for both the Collin County A&M Club and the Cub Scout Pack 1225 and is a member of the Homebuilders’ Association of Dallas. In addition Steve enjoys playing golf snow skiing and waterskiing and attending his children’s sports activities with his wife Jan. He has been a Plano resident for 20 years and joins T Bank with extensive experience in commercial and real estate lending combined with the desire to facilitate the success of his diverse customer base. |
