Dr. Horrigan joined Avalon in July of 2000 and became Vice President of Research in August 2007. During his tenure at Avalon he has held several positions of increasing responsibility within the research organization while directing both internal and external collaborative programs. Prior to joining Avalon, Dr. Horrigan held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University Medical Center where he led a research group focused on cancer genomics and diagnostic biomarkers. Prior to that, he held positions at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and the University of Chicago Medical School. Dr. Horrigan holds a Ph.D. and a B.S. in Biology from Syracuse University. |
