For more than 20 years, Steve Goodman has been developing and implementing corporate communications and marketing programs for many of the nation's largest and most successful organizations. During the past 10 years, he has developed expertise in the use of electric media to successfully deliver communications to internal, business-to-business and consumer audiences.
He has developed and implemented public relations and online communications programs for leading consumer, considered-purchase and business-to-business clients. Current client assignments include: Merck, Coldwell Banker, Pfizer, Sony, Novartis, Middlesex County Economic Opportunities Corporation (MCEOC), GE Lighting and KeyBank, among others. At The SPI Group, he continues to provide support for 'traditional' PR programs while leading the Agency's drive to leverage technology to increase the effectiveness of marketing and communications programs.
Prior to founding The SPI Group (1997), Goodman was senior partner and general manager of Public Relations for Poppe Tyson. While at Poppe Tyson (1994-1997), his client assignments included T. Rowe Price, Merrill Lynch, PSINet, Public Service Electric and Gas Company, Bell Atlantic Yellow Pages, New Jersey Department of Commerce & Economic Development, Division of Travel and Tourism and The CIT Group, among others.
Before Poppe Tyson, Goodman was a senior associate at Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart, where he specialized in business media relations, marketing communications and financial public relations. In this position, he also participated in several integrated marketing communications campaigns for clients including Scott Paper Company, NatWest USA, the American Management Association, TriNet Real Estate Investment Trust, Freeport-McMoRan and the Boston Consulting Group, among others.
Goodman is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and an honors graduate of Wesleyan University. He and his wife, Sandy, reside in Montclair, New Jersey, with their two young daughters, Sarah and Sydney. |
