Stephen Ziehmn is the vice president Security for Harris Corporation. He is responsible for international and domestic program and physical security requirements for all Harris businesses. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the nation’s highest priority reconnaissance satellites and national security systems, including operational, acquisition, programmatic, fiscal, communications, policy, and security. Mr. Ziehmn joined Harris in 2006 following his retirement as a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a special agent in the Air Force Office of Special Investigations for 25 years, with worldwide focus in the counterintelligence/ security area. Throughout his military career, Mr. Ziehmn was focused on global counterintelligence/ security and counterterrorism. In his last Air Force assignment at the National Reconnaissance Office, Chantilly, VA, he held the position of Director for Counterintelligence. He was responsible for advising more than 2,300 multiservice officers and noncommissioned officers regarding counterintelligence operations and policy. Prior to that, Mr. Ziehmn served as Chief of International and Commercial Issues, tasked with leading government, civilian, military, and contractor teams responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing national space policy related to both foreign and domestic reconnaissance issues. He began his criminal investigation career in Florida where he was a deputy sheriff in Volusia County. Mr. Ziehmn holds two degrees from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida: a bachelor’s in criminal justice and a master’s in criminal justice/management.
