Taillight TV is proud to have Stephen Shepherd on its roster. Stephen has a vast amount of experience in creating music based multimedia packages including, commercial spots, web content and music videos. He also specializes in programming live concert filming and documentary style interviews. Some of his clients include Vince Gill, Lee Ann Womack, Dolly Parton, Keith Urban, Marty Stuart with Mavis Staples, among others. He recently directed a multi-day shoot for MCA recording artist Gary Allan, shooting at Red Rocks amphitheater as well as Austin TX, the video showcases Allan’s live concert experience mixed with beautiful non-narrative broll. His work also includes music videos for artists such as Joe Nichols, The Kentucky Headhunters, Allison Moorer, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Rockie Lynne, Flynnvile Train and others. Stephen Shepherd began his career on the other side of the desk. As a member of the marketing department at one of the most successful record labels in the business, Stephen started creating moving pictures from the inside. Functioning as both in-house director and video commissioner, Stephen was called upon to do most of the writing, shooting and creating the label's own advertising and industrial, trade related pieces as well as working with outside production companies and directors on music videos. Parlaying this new experience he then went on to become a fulltime music video director, all the while also shooting and editing multimedia content. He went on to perform the same function at the MCA sister label, Decca Records, and later Virgin Records Nashville and Universal South Records. His work with these record labels eventually led to producing and directing music videos for many country artists. A graduate of the music industry program at Belmont University, Stephen is known to be highly creative, easy going and always reliable. He lives in Nashville with his Jack Russell terrier, Mugsy.
