Dr. Lockhart has served as vice president clinical development since January 2008 and president, Emergent Product Development UK since October 2007. Prior to joining the company, Dr. Lockhart served as assistant vice president and global head of bacterial vaccine clinical research for Wyeth from 2003 to October 2007 and senior director of clinical research from 1995 to 2003. Prior to joining Wyeth, Dr. Lockhart served as director of clinical development, UK for Lederle Laboratories from 1990 to 1995, associate director for clinical pharmacology for Parke-Davis from 1989 to 1990, and medical adviser and senior medical advisor for Janssen Pharmaceutical from 1986 to 1989. Dr. Lockhart also spent over a decade as a practicing physician. Dr. Lockhart received an MA from Cambridge University and received his advanced medical and research degrees from Oxford University. In 1983 he became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and in 1988 received his Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine. After becoming a Member for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine in 1991, Dr. Lockhart was inducted as a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine in 2003. |
