Stephen Cheuk Kin Law has served as a member of our board of directors since February 2004 and he has also served as a member of our audit committee from December 2004 to December 2005. Mr. Law is an executive director of TPG Growth based in Hong Kong and is responsible for private equity investments in North Asia. Prior to joining Texas Pacific Group in July 2006, Mr. Law was a director of Morningside Technologies Inc, where he was responsible for a portfolio of private equity investments including The9. He was also the Chief Financial Officer of Media Partners International Holdings Inc. (HK:8072), the top three outdoor advertising operator in China and he led its later sale to JC Decaux. He was also a founding director of an advertising agency which was subsequently merged with WPP Group. Prior to joining Morningside Group, Mr. Law focused in corporate finance and development for Wheelock and Wharf Groups to develop various businesses in China and Hong Kong. He initiated the launch of broadband business resulting in multi-revenue model, and led the dual listing of i-Cable Communications Limited in Hong Kong (HK:1097) and the United States (NASDAQ:ICAB) raising approximately US$500M. Prior to working for Wheelock, he served as regional financial controller for a number of multinationals. Mr. Law started his career with a big eight accounting firm in the United Kingdom. Mr. Law holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom and an MBA degree from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a registered practicing Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong. He has also obtained various awards in the fields of Investor Relations and Corporate Governance. He is a committee member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, an adviser to the Central Policy Unit of the Hong Kong Government and has been a visiting Lecturer for corporate governance courses organized by a university in Hong Kong. |
