Mr. Kenny brings 22 years of experience in providing strategic direction and leadership to high technology companies.
Previously President, co-founder and member of the Board of Launchworks inc., an equity-based venture capital firm focused on early stage investment in Canadian technology companies. During his tenure at Launchworks, Mr. Kenny was responsible for the conceptualization and execution of the company's business model, which led to the deployment of shareholder capital in a portfolio of companies that continue to grow even during these uncertain economic times. Prior to joining Launchworks, Mr. Kenny was involved in numerous early stage entrepreneurial endeavours. From May 1997 to December 1999, he was President of J*Commerce Inc., a software vendor focusing on the retail industry. Prior to that, Mr. Kenny was also the founder and CEO of Headwaters Inc., an energy technology and services company that was later purchased by OTATCO Inc., where Mr. Kenny remained as President for two years. Before founding Headwaters Inc., Mr. Kenny founded and was President and CEO of Digitech information Services, a supplier of data and data management solutions to the oil and gas industry, which was acquired by QC Data. After the acquisition, Mr. Kenny was QC Data's VP of Canadian Operations.
Mr. Kenny has sat as a member of the Board of numerous technology companies and has acted as a strategic consultant to the technology community. He is a Certified General Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University.
