As leader of OZ's laboratory design team, Steve has extensive design experience with many types of research science facilities from higher education to BSL-3 and animal facilities. His commitment to the international community and preservation of the natural environment are evident in the number of federal government projects he has completed, including work for the Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Geological Survey and U.S. Forest Service. A long-standing passion for the people and places of Africa has now led to several projects for the national government of Rwanda, which is committed to building a self-sufficient nation by 2020. He taught architecture in East Africa at Makerere University as a visiting lecturer, traveled beyond war zone lines in Afghanistan to contribute in the renovation of a performing arts center and to Nepal to assist with a hospital addition. |
