Experience
Mr. McCloskey represents individuals and businesses in a broad array of civil litigation. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in both State and Federal courts throughout Maryland, primarily in the defense of personal injury lawsuits in many substantive areas. Mr. McCloskey has defended products liability claims involving asbestos, industrial machinery, farm equipment, marine engines, pharmaceuticals, and a host of other products. He has handled toxic torts claims involving chemical exposure and mold. He defends premises liability claims, motor tort claims, and intentional tort claims, arising in a variety of different factual contexts.
Mr. McCloskey is a frequent speaker on insurance coverage topics, including an insurer’s duty to defend, bad faith issues and has litigated both large and small insurance coverage cases. He also has experience litigating construction defect disputes. He represents and advises religious organizations in a variety of litigation matters against churches, their ministers, officers, and volunteers. Mr. McCloskey has appellate experience in state and federal courts.
