Description of Practice:
Stephen J. Kepler is a partner in the firm's Orange County office where he practices business litigation and employment law. Mr. Kepler's litigation experience includes handling cases at all levels of both state and federal courts. He also represents clients at mediations and arbitrations. In the business litigation arena, Mr. Kepler provides expertise in a range of issues including business torts, contract disputes, trade secrets, interference claims, substantial collection cases, unfair competition, and intellectual property disputes. His focus and goal is to accomplish rapid and successful results for clients who prefer not to waste resources in litigation. In the employment arena, Mr. Kepler represents employers and management in connection with a wide variety of matters, including wrongful termination and employment discrimination. He also represents management in wage/hour matters before the U.S. Department of Labor and the California Labor Commissioner, and in allegations of employment discrimination filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. Mr. Kepler co-authored an article entitled "Trademarks and Internet Domain Names in the Digital Millennium," appearing in the Winter 1999 edition of the UCLA Journal of International and Foreign Affairs. Mr. Kepler is on the faculty of the Graduate School of Management at the University of California at Irvine, where he teaches a course in Business Law for second year M.B.A. students.
Educational History:
Mr. Kepler earned his B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles and his J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley. |
