Experience: Steve has more than 26 years of combined public and industry accounting experience. A major part of his current practice focuses on providing business valuation and litigation services. Prior to joining Goodman & Company in 1994, he worked on the professional staffs of both international and local CPA firms. In addition, Steve held managerial accounting and finance positions in real estate management and development companies including that of chief financial officer for a regional commercial real estate brokerage and property management firm.Business Valuation Steve has prepared valuations for a variety of purposes including estate and gift taxes, marital dissolution, shareholder dispute, buy/sell agreements and purchase/sale of a business. He has performed valuations for companies in numerous industries including the following: health care, insurance agencies, auto dealerships, manufacturing, construction contractors, high tech, family investments, real estate holding companies, restaurants, government contractors, transportation, wholesale distribution, research and development, retail, engineering, printing, and funeral services. Other industries in which he has expertise include marketing/public relations, mortgage brokerage, law firms, and not-for-profit. In addition to holding the ABV credential, Steve is a candidate member of the American Society of Appraisers. He has been a presenter on business valuation topics for professional organizations and societies, estate planning study groups, and at client strategic planning meetings.
