Mr. Moseley has over 13 years experience providing consulting services to clients and their counsel. His primary focus has been valuing and managing complex liability and property insurance claims, evaluating insurance coverage issues, and resolving insurance coverage disputes.
In the area of liability insurance claims Mr. Moseley’s experience includes claims management, analyses of historical data trends, evaluation of incurred costs, projection of possible future claims, estimation of potential future liability, insurance archaeology and historical policy reconstruction, insurance coverage analysis, allocation of claim costs to insurance coverage, preparation and presentation of insurance claims, settlement strategy advice, claim negotiation, and litigation support. Mr. Moseley has provided these services in connection with a variety of liabilities including asbestos, pollution, and other health hazard (APH) claims.
Mr. Moseley also has significant experience in the area of property insurance claims. He has provided services in connection with property damage, extra expense, and loss of business income claims stemming from many types of events, including hurricanes and other severe storms, derailments, fires, and other causative events. Mr. Moseley’s experience includes ensuring appropriate internal accounting of all related costs; collecting and segregating costs, and preparing effective documentation of claim costs, and other related information. He has also quantified lost revenue, avoided costs, and extra expense for a variety of service interruptions; analyzed contingent business interruption losses, and evaluated deferred versus lost revenue.
Mr. Moseley is familiar with insurers’ approach to settling major claims, including the form and substance of settlement communications needed to facilitate internal claims review and meet outward reinsurance requirements. Mr. Moseley regularly develops and delivers effective and credible settlement reports and presentations to US insurers, Equitas and London Market Companies, and UK schemes of arrangement. His services have been used to analyze policyholder risk transfer/retention decisions, prepare insurance claims, support insurance claim settlement negotiations, and evaluate insurance litigation matters.
