Steve is an actuary with the Property and Casualty practice in the Denver office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1993.
Experience
Steve is involved in reserving and ratemaking for insurance companies, state funds, self-insured groups, and individual self-insured employers. Other projects have included software development, financial analysis and modeling, and new company formation. Steve has developed software for workers' compensation rating, including retrospective and deductible programs.
Prior to joining Milliman, Steve worked for the Hanover Insurance Company. As branch actuarial manager, he was responsible for ratemaking and reserving for all lines of business for a seven-state region. Other responsibilities included budgeting and financial analysis. Steve also worked for Employers Reinsurance Corporation, where he was involved in reserving and ratemaking for both reinsurance and primary insurance.
