Stephanie is a native Jacksonian, was educated at Jackson Preparatory School, and graduated Cum Laude from Millsaps College with a degree in Accounting. She was an Else scholar, president of the Chi Omega sorority, a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honorary and played collegiate tennis. After graduation from Millsaps, Stephanie began her career in the management advisory services division of a local Jackson accounting firm, where she recommended hardware and software packages for businesses, accounting system installations and operational procedure studies. She also became involved in tax services. As a partner with GranthamPoole, Stephanie is involved in tax planning and preparation, management services and litigation support services. She is especially active in the legal industry, working with attorneys and law firms on planning, operational, and reporting issues. She has served as an expert witness in cases involving contract valuations, damage calculations, compensation disputes and property settlements. Stephanie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is married to Larry Smith, and is the mother of three children. The Smiths are active members of Covenant Presbyterian Church. |
