Stephanie Kuhn Biography :

Stephanie A. Contrucci Kuhn is a research scientist at The Kennedy Krieger Institute and a Case Manager on the Neurobehavioral Unit. She is also an Instructor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is a licensed psychologist in the State of Maryland.

Biographical Sketch:

Dr. Contrucci Kuhn graduate in 1993 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a B.S. in Psychology. She continued her education in psychology at Louisiana State University, receiving her Master’s degree in 2000 and her doctorate degree in 2004. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Kennedy Institute and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. After her training, Dr. Contrucci Kuhn continued as a faculty member at the Kennedy Krieger Institute where she serves as a Case Manager of the Neurobehavioral Unit. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis, the Maryland Association for Behavior Analysis, and is a licensed psychologist in the State of Maryland.

Research Summary:

Dr. Contrucci Kuhn’s training, research and experience have focused on the application of behavior analytic principles to the assessment and treatment of severe behavior problems and related concerns in individuals with developmental disabilities. She has contributed to multiple publications on the refinement of functional analysis and treatment methodologies and a more complete account of contextual variables. Her research interests also include caregiver training and bridge studies between basic and applied findings in areas relevant to treatment of behavior problems.
