serves as Cymer's senior vice president of Corporate Operations where he is responsible for developing and executing all activities of Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain, including Logistics and Corporate Facilities. Spiva brings more than 35 years of management experience to Cymer, including 20 years with the U.S. Navy. Before joining Cymer, Spiva served as vice president of enterprise solutions at Applied Materials, Inc. from June 1998 until his retirement in June 2001, and during this time he implemented the Oracle ERP system for manufacturing and order fulfillment business processes. His expertise includes, but is not limited to, "on-the-line" experience with materials management, logistics, production, production engineering, installation and field support. From March 1988 to June 1998 Spiva served at Applied Materials in various management positions including managing director of global Installed Base operations, senior director of Intel account operations, and director of the advanced manufacturing group. Spiva is APICS and CIRM certified and received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
