Stacey Rappaport Biography :

Stacey P. Rappaport is counsel with the firm, and concentrates her practice on complex commercial and insurance coverage litigation, representing clients in the financial services, pharmaceutical, insurance, entertainment and related industries. Stacey joined Drinker Biddle in 1996, after serving as law clerk to the Honorable Murray G. Simon in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, General Equity Part in Essex County. She is admitted to the New Jersey State and Federal bars.

Stacey received her bachelor's degree magna cum laude in languages in 1988 from Arizona State University (ASU). After working in business for a few years, she returned to ASU and earned a bachelor's degree summa cum laude in psychology in 1991. In 1995, she received her J.D. degree cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law. While attending law school, she served as the survey editor of the Seton Hall Law Review. Her published works include The Plain Touch Exception to the Warrant Requirement, 24 Seton Hall Law Review 2257 (1994) and Suppression of Illegally Seized Evidence, 25 Seton Hall Law Review 445 (1994).

From 1997 to 1999, Stacey served as a barrister of the Brennan Inn of Court in Essex County, New Jersey.

In 1997 and 1998, Stacey maintained an off-site office at Warner-Lambert Company in Morris Plains, New Jersey, where she served her client’s temporary needs in the pharmaceutical marketing and regulatory and governmental affairs departments. Stacey counseled Warner-Lambert’s Advertising Review Committee on proposed marketing and advertising materials submitted by international affiliates, and assisted those affiliates in the prosecution and defense of false advertising claims.

From 1998 to 1999, Stacey served as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School of Law, where she taught legal research and writing.

Stacey has been a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee since 2003.
