Srikant Narasimhan joined COMPASS in August of 2006. He received his BA in Public Policy Studies with a Specialization in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2005, and his MA in Economics from Boston University in 2006. He came to COMPASS to continue to expand his knowledge of applied economics, specifically to see the application of theoretical economic models to real market situations. Srikant also has a strong interest in public health, and has completed two research projects in Bangladesh. The first concerned the social and economic impact of tuberculosis on patients and families, the second focused on the use of incentives to curb patient default in tuberculosis control programs. He has also worked for the Harvard Initiative for Global Health, and as a research assistant at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
Srikant enjoys traveling and has traveled extensively through Southeast Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and has hiked the Everest trail. He is also a great sports fan, and is an avid (some would say rabid) Pittsburgh Steelers fan. |
