Karen is a director and her practice is concentrated on labor, employment, litigation and corporate representation. Representing clients throughout widely diversified industries, she frequently makes presentations to business and community groups regarding various labor issues, discrimination, and sexual harassment.
Karen’s practice brings her before all levels of state and federal courts, the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. She has also had the opportunity to serve as a mediator or arbitrator in many disputes.
A native of Stark County, Karen attended Central Catholic High School and received her undergraduate degree in economics and management from Ohio Northern University. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the Ohio State University College of Law, where she was named to the Order of the Coif, was editor-in-chief of the Law Journal and graduated summa cum laude.
She is a member of the Stark County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Karen has earned the exclusive AV Rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory as designated by colleagues, and she has been selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America ® (2008) as well as having been named an Ohio Super Lawyer (2008).
Karen is a graduate of Leadership Stark County, and a former member of the Boards of: Aultman Health Foundation, Canton Symphony Orchestra, United Way of Stark County and Junior Achievement of Stark County as well as the Great Trail Girl Scout Council. She is currently a member of Aultman’s Women’s Board and serves as Board Chair of the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO). In addition, Karen been honored as a recipient of the Canton Jaycees Distinguished Service Award.
Karen, her husband, Rick, and their two sons reside in Plain Township. |
