Simon Wilson-Taylor is executive vice president and worldwide head of Global Link, a State Street owned e-finance business for the professional financial marketplace, providing unified access to research, analytics, portfolio allocation tools, order management systems, and electronic trade execution products across all major asset classes to clients in 32 countries.
Mr. Wilson-Taylor joined State Street in London in 1992 to establish and manage a new currency risk management business. Since 1995, he has been involved in the creation and evolution of Global Link, relocating to Boston in 1999 to serve as head of the business unit.
Prior to joining State Street, Mr. Wilson-Taylor was head of currency risk management at Midland Montagu in London (now HSBC) and has gained wide experience working on both the buy-side and the sell-side. He began his finance career at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Toronto in 1975.
Mr. Wilson-Taylor is also a member of the board of State Street’s broker/dealer subsidiary, State Street Global Markets, LLC, and of Currenex, Inc, the online foreign exchange and metals trading platform acquired by State Street in March 2007.
