Sima Vasa is the Senior Partner responsible for building Momentum Market Intelligence’s innovative Continuous Market Intelligence Systems (CMIS). With CMIS, vendors can understand the purchase behavior of global IT professionals as it relates to hardware, services, and software. Sima is uniquely suited to this challenge: she blends supplier and vendor experience with proven business-building and research skills.Prior to joining Momentum, Sima spent fifteen years growing and managing syndicated businesses for the high technology industry. As President of NPDTechworld at the NPD Group, she managed their largest business unit, which focused on technology, software, consumer electronics, and wireless product tracking. Sima nearly doubled the business in three years by refocusing priorities and aggressively expanding the product portfolio. Before her role with NPDTechworld, Sima was Vice President of the Technology Division at NPD, where she led the integration of three key acquisitions: Audits & Surveys Worldwide, Ziff-Davis StoreBoard, and PC Data.Sima’s vendor experience includes working in the IBM Market Intelligence Group responsible for providing key research for IBM’s server product lines. Her research focused on creating an actionable segmentation for market opportunity, product offering definition, and customer wants and needs.Sima holds an MBA in finance from the NYU Stern School of Business and a BS in marketing with a specialization in international studies from Drexel University. She is a recipient of several Profit Achievement Awards and Revenue Achievement Awards, a former member of the Young President’s Organization (an international forum), and has served as a mentor in Stern’s annual business plan competition. |
