Shyrell A. Reed is an associate in the Firm’s Tort Defense Group. Her practice focuses on the defense of physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care providers in medical malpractice actions. Her practice is also devoted to defending product designers, manufacturers, and sellers against damage claims arising out of alleged product defects, malfunctions, or failures. Ms. Reed is very active in the community, serving as the Chair of the Minority Pre-Law Conference of the Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers Conference for 2007, for which she was awarded the Outstanding Service Award. Her public service work includes representation of the indigent in custody and other domestic relations matters. She also has served as a volunteer for the Pro-Bono Hotline for the Roanoke Valley.
