Shula Bernard, Ph.D., is a senior health services researcher and the director of RTI's Health Care Quality and Outcomes Program. She has more than two decades of clinical and research experience leading and conducting studies in health care quality and outcomes, primarily for older adults. She has led and managed research related to health care information and delivery systems, development of quality measures, and public reporting of health care performance measures. Dr. Bernard is experienced in both qualitative and quantitative research designs in the areas of evaluation studies, health care outcomes, patient satisfaction with health care services, and reporting of performance measures. In addition to the analysis of survey data, her quantitative research focuses on the analysis of administrative and claims data to examine variation in quality of care. |
