Shirley D. Peterson has been a director since 2002. She was president of Hood College, an independent liberal arts college, from 1995 to 2000. From 1989 to 1993, Peterson served in the U.S. government, first appointed by President Bush as assistant attorney general in the Tax Division of the Department of Justice, then as commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service. She also was a partner in the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson, where she spent a total of 22 years from 1969 to 1989 and 1993 to 1994. Peterson has been an independent trustee of Scudder Mutual Funds since 1995. She serves as a director of AK Steel Corporation, Champion Enterprise, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Wolverine World Wide, Inc. She is also a trustee of the Bryn Mawr College Board of Trustees. |
