Mr. Akamine is the CEO of BlueRoads Corporation, which provides Channel Management solutions as an on-demand service. Previously he was the co-founder and former chief executive officer of Postini, the leading provider secure email boundary services and one of the world's largest and most profitable email security firms. At Postini, Mr. Akamine helped pioneer email security as an on-demand service and was awarded fundamental patents covering the email security managed service business model. Previously, Mr. Akamine served on the board of directors for Postini and LiveCapital (acquired by D&B), an on-demand credit management company. Mr. Akamine is the inventor of ten patents and was honored in 2004 with an Outstanding Inventor award by Stanford University. He was previously recognized by NTT in 1994 for the best research within NTT Worldwide. Mr. Akamine earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University |
