Mr. Jefferson is a banker responsible for covering all New York State issuers. He has served as counsel to the New York State Assembly, Corporations, Authorities and Commissions Committee which has oversight of the state’s major bond issuers. Mr. Jefferson also had responsibility for telecommunications oversight and was instrumental in developing the $50 million dollar Diffusion Fund providing capital to improve the availability and use of internet and broadband technologies in small businesses, schools and economically disadvantaged areas throughout the State.Mr. Jefferson’s private sector experience includes seven years as a telecommunications manager at BellSouth where he was intimately involved with internal systems integration during and after the divestiture of the operating companies from AT&T. Mr. Jefferson holds a JD from Hofstra University, a MA in Economics from Long Island University and a BA from Lincoln University. |
