Shelly joined the Goldberg Brother family of companies in 1975, rose to partner and served as Executive Vice President and CFO for the corporate entities of this major clearing and market-maker financing organization. He then served as President and CEO of the Kessler-Asher Group and as Consultant to Pierson, Heldring & Pierson (then MeesPierson) in the development of the International Clearing Services / Pierson Options Clearing Group. He has been a partner in a number of successful trading operations, CFO of a major Color Chip manufacturer and an owner /CFO of one of the largest Catfish processors in the Mississippi Delta region. His consultancy work has taken him to all parts of the World and he has been an expert witness and litigation consultant in over 75 matters since 1988,Mr. Cohen is a full member of the CBT, and has been a member of the CBOE, NYFE, MSE, PCX and NYSE (allied). He served on the CBOE Board of Directors from 1984 to 1988 and as Advisory Member of the Pacific Board of Directors from 2001 to 2003. Shelly has served on most of the committees of the Exchange Community including Chairing the Capital Rules, Clearing Procedures, Financial Planning, Membership, Audit and Business Conduct (CBT). He has actively traded on both trading floors, as a market-maker and local, and upstairs, using electronics.Shelly is a certified CPA, member of the Illinois BAR with a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and a J.D from DePaul Universities College of Law. |
