Former Chairman of the Administrative Board of the Council of Teaching Hospitals of the Association of American Medical Colleges, Sheldon has over 40 years of health care experience. He has served as CEO of academic medical centers at the University of California, San Diego Hospitals and Clinics, Stanford University Medical Center, and Cedars-Sinai Health Care System. Sheldon also was Interim Director of the UCLA Medical Center.
Sheldon’s experience includes serving as President of the Eastern Region of Salick Health Care, a national ambulatory cancer center corporation, and as Interim COO of INFOHEALTH Management Corporation, an information systems outsourcing company for health care organizations.
Sheldon has served on numerous boards and national committees. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University and a Master of Science from Yale University. |
