Shaun McAlmont joined us in 2005 and currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer. He previously served as our Executive Vice President and President Online. He was formerly an executive with the Alta Colleges Corporation serving as the President of Westwood College Online and prior to that served as a Regional Vice President over five Westwood College Campuses. Mr. McAlmont joined Westwood in 1999 following a six-year career with Heald Colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area. He served as a Campus Director for one of Heald's largest campuses located in downtown San Francisco. In addition to operational roles, Mr. McAlmont has managed successful high school admissions efforts on a regional level and has focused efforts in customer service on a corporate level. His for-profit education experience is balanced with two years of experience as an Assistant Director in Multicultural Student Affairs at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Mr. McAlmont has served as a reviewer for ACICS, WASC, California BPPVE regulatory teams, and as a Director for the California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools Board. Mr. McAlmont earned his B.S. degree from Brigham Young University and his M.A. degree in Education Administration from the University of San Francisco. |
