Sharon is co-founder and Executive Director Research & Development at Renovo. She is responsible for initiating and managing all areas of research and drug development in the company from early stage discovery through all stages of preclinical development into drug manufacturing and clinical trials supply. She is also responsible for IT and QA.
Before co-founding Renovo in October 2000 Sharon had a 13-year career based in academia with many industrial collaborators publications invited speaking engagements large peer-reviewed grants and numerous international research awards. Throughout this career her research focussed predominantly on the therapeutic topic of wound healing and scar prevention so she brings extensive expertise in all areas of research relevant to the company. Immediately before co-founding Renovo Sharon was a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Manchester where she remains an honorary lecturer. |
